The ED on Tuesday raided three nail salons and four flats linked to arrested Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee’s alleged associate Arpita Mukherjee in the span of two hours, taking the number of searched properties either owned or used by her to 15 in 10 days.
Unlike the successive raids last week that yielded nearly Rs 50 crore in cash and lakhs worth of valuables from two apartments, the agency didn’t disclose what was found in the salons and the four flats searched between 11am and 1pm. ED officials visited two flats located within gated communities in Madurdaha and confiscated some diaries and documents from one of them, sources said. Another team searched a locked fifth-floor flat in a high-end complex in south Kolkata registered in the name of one Om Jhunjhunwala.
