Soon after ‘Brahmastra’ released, internet was flooded with story conjectures about the sequel, spoilers were rampantly shared on social media and memes too flooded everyone’s timeline. While the film is minting big money at the box office, ‘Brahmastra’ also fielded negative reviews too.

Reacting to the mixed reactions that the sci-fi drama has received, director Ayan Mukerji recently shared, “I only focus on the positive energy. I know that various kinds of reviews have come. I haven’t been able to absorb all those reviews, be it negative reviews, fan theories or what people did not like. I will do that when the time comes. I will take all that into consideration before moving on to part two.” Speaking about the backlash that the film’s dialogues have been facing, Ayan said, “Shiva and Isha are modern contemporary characters and so I thought that they should come across like the modern generation. Maine unke dialogues usi jagah se likhe jaha se maine Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani ke dialogues likhe the and it was a 50-50 process between me and Hussain Dalal.” Commenting on the same topic, Alia Bhatt stated, “Criticism, opinions, and feedback are the right of the audience. We only hope to get positive things rather than negative.”

At the end of its first week at the box office, ‘Brahmastra’ Hindi had minted Rs 146 crore. The film has reportedly crossed the 300 crore mark gross in its first week at the worldwide box office. Ayan Mukerji is now working on a sequel, which is reportedly titled ‘Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev’. He plans to introduce new characters with the second installment, which will feature Ranbir and Alia too. Spin off about ‘Jalastra’ and ‘Vanarastra’ are also reportedly in the pipeline.
