Kaleem, who was one of the first to arrive when Nitin Manmohan passed away this morning, told us a few minutes ago that he was on his way back home after being with the filmmaker’s family. “Nitin ji’s wife was praying so much for his recovery. What has happened is very shocking. The loss of a life partner is not easy to take,” he added.
“The family was repeatedly breaking down at the hospital. Nitin ji was just 62. Nitin ji’s daughter Prachi too was in tears. She was very close to her father,” he further said.
Kaleem also revealed that Nitin Manmohan’s condition took a turn for the worse, yesterday. “A lot of complications arose. He did not respond at all, while on the ventilator.”
Nitin Manmohan was the son of yesteryear’s famous villain Manmohan, who was one of the most famous onscreen villains of his time.
Nitin Manmohan’s last rites will be held tomorrow. The family has decided that the funeral will be held at Santacruz Crematorium tomorrow, near Shastri Nagar, at 10.30 am.
A procession will start from the departed soul’s residence at Saibaba Tower in Four Bungalows, where he stayed on the 11th floor.
