According to a report in Box Office India, the Ayan Mukerji directorial has collected 14 crores worth of sales in Hindi and has minted nearly 2 crores in regional languages. It is estimated that the Hindi version drop will be around 55% as various places are showing falls in the 50-60% range.
With this, the Hindi version will make around 118 crore and it should get close to nearly 150 crore worth of sales at the ticket window. The second Friday of the film will be crucial in terms of the box office numbers.In Mumbai city, the 3D format of the film has been working well but the scenario is a bit different in another metro city like Kolkata. The film also seems to be working better in states like Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
‘Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva’ is a modern mythological drama which took almost 6 years in making. The film revolves around Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) who embarks a journey to discover his magical superpowers with his unique relationship with fire. Alia Bhatt plays the role of Isha, who plays his love interest in the film. The film also stars Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles and also has an extended cameo by Shah Rukh Khan.
