NEW DELHI: A court in Delhi on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of Aaftab Amin Poonawala — accused of killing his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar and chopping her body into pieces — for next 14 days.
Poonawala was produced before metropolitan magistrate Aviral Shukla in the court lock up.
The court extended his judicial custody for 14 next days and directed the prison authorities to provide him with warm clothes.
Earlier on December 6, the court had extended Poonawala’s judicial custody by four days.
Currently lodged in Tihar jail, Poonawala is accused of chopping of Shraddha’s body into 35 pieces. He had dumped the body parts in different locations across the city.
